A Saturday of Kindness

Kindness can take many forms, from the small gestures we offer others to the understanding we extend to ourselves. Yet, in the busyness of everyday life, we don't always make time to notice or reflect on it.

Join us at Nihshreyasa for a three-hour experience inspired by World Kindness Day, dedicated to exploring kindness in its many forms: towards others, towards the person you are today, and towards the different versions of yourself that have brought you here.

Through loving-kindness meditation, gratitude, guided reflection, journaling, and a closing sound bath, we'll create space to slow down and turn our attention inward. You'll be invited to notice the things you appreciate, reflect on your experiences with greater gentleness, and spend some time with memories of who you once were and hopes for who you might become. Along the way, there will be opportunities to put your thoughts into words, listen to others, and share in a small group, should you feel comfortable doing so.

In the rush of everyday life, kindness can sometimes become something we remember to offer everyone except ourselves. We can be patient with others and critical of ourselves, celebrate another person's progress while overlooking our own, or carry old experiences without ever pausing to consider them with compassion. This gathering offers an opportunity to look at these familiar patterns without judgement and explore what a little more kindness might make possible.

There is nothing to achieve and no particular way you need to feel by the end. You don't need prior experience with meditation, and you won't be expected to share anything you're not comfortable sharing. Simply come with an openness to participate, reflect, listen, or sit quietly.

We'll close with a sound bath, allowing the sounds and vibrations of the instruments to offer a gentle transition back into the rest of your day.

A Saturday of Kindness is an invitation to spend a few hours with yourself and others, making room for gratitude, reflection, and a kinder way of relating to the life you're living.

Jerry is a Certified Yoga and Meditation Teacher, a Certified Mindfulness Teacher accredited by the International Mindfulness Teachers Association, an experienced Sound Healer, and an OSHO Active Meditations Facilitator. As the founder of Nihshreyasa Holistic Wellness Studio, he is deeply committed to guiding individuals on a transformative journey toward holistic well-being, inner peace, and profound self-fulfillment.

Jerry’s path to mindfulness began during his student years in Pune, India, where a powerful introduction to mindfulness ignited a deep and lasting passion. This newfound awareness reshaped his life, not just spiritually, but also in how he approached his work and relationships. Despite a successful career leading the People Function at a fast-growing Series B startup, Jerry felt a calling he could no longer ignore. He made the courageous decision to step away from the corporate world and fully devote himself to the path of meditation, mindfulness, and healing.

His journey then took him to Bali, Goa, Rishikesh, and Nepal, where he immersed himself in the ancient, transformative practices of meditation and sound healing. It was during this time that Jerry discovered the magic of singing bowls, a serendipitous encounter that would forever change the way he connected with the world around him. This powerful tool has since become an integral part of his spiritual and healing practice.

Jerry’s approach to mindfulness is enriched by a deep understanding of both ancient spiritual teachings and modern psychological science. He draws inspiration from the timeless wisdom of Vedanta, Samkhya, the Bhagavad Gita, and Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, while integrating contemporary insights into the mind and its impact on well-being. This unique combination of ancient wisdom and modern knowledge enables Jerry to offer a grounded, compassionate, and truly transformative approach to mindfulness and meditation.

Over the course of his teaching journey, Jerry has guided meditation and sound healing sessions for more than 500 people, including individuals from diverse backgrounds as well as prominent personalities such as Basil Joseph, Dr. Ananthu, Priya P. Varrier, Leona Lishoy, Lakshmi Menon and Deepak Dev, among others. These experiences have allowed him to work with people from different walks of life and deepen his understanding of how meditation, mindfulness, and sound can support greater presence, relaxation, self-awareness, and well-being.

At Nihshreyasa, Jerry creates a safe, nurturing space where individuals can explore the powerful practices of meditation, sound healing, and mindfulness. He leads a variety of sessions and workshops designed to help each person reconnect with their true self, cultivate balance, and experience life with greater presence, joy, and clarity.

In addition to his workshops and sessions, Jerry offers personal meditation coaching, where he shares the lessons learned from his own meditation practice to guide individuals in becoming more self-aware through meditative practices. His coaching is designed to help clients deepen their connection with themselves, gain clarity, and navigate life with greater mindfulness, presence, and authenticity.

Through his work, Jerry invites others to embrace the timeless wisdom of mindfulness, live fully in the present moment, and create a life rich in meaning, peace, and fulfilment.
