What is Access Bars?
Access Bars is a gentle, deeply relaxing modality that is intended to help quiet mental clutter, ease everyday stress, and create space around habitual thought patterns. The practice focuses on 32 specific points on the head, each associated with different areas of life, such as creativity, control, communication, and calm. During a session, a practitioner gently touches these points while you rest comfortably, creating an opportunity for deep relaxation and greater ease.
Can Access Bars Help Reduce Stress and Anxiety?
Stress is not just a mental experience. Prolonged stress can affect the body and nervous system, contributing to muscle tension, changes in breathing, disrupted sleep, and persistent overthinking. An Access Bars session offers a gentle pause from this ongoing mental and physical activity.
As the practitioner holds different points on the head, many people experience a profound sense of relaxation. Some notice that their thoughts become quieter, their bodies feel more at ease, and they experience a greater sense of spaciousness and calm.
Access Bars is not a medical treatment for anxiety or other mental health conditions. It can, however, be experienced as a complementary wellness practice alongside appropriate professional care.
Can Access Bars Improve Sleep?
Difficulty sleeping can sometimes be associated with stress, mental overactivity, and difficulty unwinding at the end of the day. By providing an opportunity to slow down and deeply relax, an Access Bars session may help create a more restful state.
The practice does not aim to induce sleep. Instead, it offers dedicated time away from the mental noise and stimulation of everyday life. Some participants report feeling more relaxed after a session and finding it easier to unwind and settle into sleep.
What Happens During a Session?
Your session begins in a quiet and comfortable space where you lie on a yoga mat. Pillows and other supports are provided to ensure you feel comfortable throughout the session.
Once you are settled, the practitioner uses a light touch to hold specific combinations of points on your head. Every experience is unique. You might remain awake in a state of quiet awareness, drift into a light dream state, or fall into deep sleep. Some people notice gentle sensations such as warmth or tingling, while others simply enjoy an hour of uninterrupted stillness.
There is no right or wrong way to experience a session. The invitation is simply to lie back, relax, and receive.

Who Is This Session Suitable For?
Access Bars is suitable for people at different stages of their wellness journey, from complete beginners to experienced practitioners. It may be particularly appealing if you are navigating:
• Everyday stress, burnout, or a demanding lifestyle
• Mental fatigue, persistent overthinking, or difficulty switching off
• Sleep difficulties, restlessness, or trouble unwinding
• Feelings of emotional exhaustion or overwhelm
• A desire for greater relaxation, clarity, and inner balance
Access Bars is a complementary wellness practice and should not be used as a substitute for medical or mental health treatment.
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows you to lie down easily. Having a light salty or sugary snack on hand afterward can also help you feel grounded as you ease back into your day.
Absolutely. Access Bars requires no prior experience, preparation, or active effort on your part. You will be guided into a comfortable position, and all you need to do is lie back and receive.
You are welcome to do whatever feels natural. You can chat with your practitioner, ask questions, or close your eyes and remain completely silent. Some people fall asleep, while others stay awake - there is no fixed rule.
That is completely normal and won't lessen the effectiveness of the session. Access Bars does not require you to meditate, clear your mind, or force your thoughts to stop. The process works gently regardless of whether your mind is active or quiet.
At minimum, most people leave feeling as though they’ve just had a deeply restoring massage; at best, it can unlock a greater sense of ease across your entire life. You may feel deeply relaxed, mentally clear, or emotionally lighter. Occasionally, people experience mild fatigue or heightened sensitivity as tension releases. We recommend drinking plenty of water, enjoying a light snack if needed, and taking a few quiet moments to integrate the experience.
Frequency is entirely up to you and your personal goals. Many clients find that receiving consistent sessions across 3 consecutive days creates a deep, powerful momentum for major clearing, helping to unlock long-standing mental blocks. For ongoing care, some people choose weekly or bi-weekly sessions to maintain low stress levels and mental clarity, while others book a session whenever they feel overwhelmed, stuck, or in need of a reset.
