Ktien Hima believes that the universe, in its infinite wisdom, brings each of us exactly the experiences we need, at the precise moment we are ready to receive them. For them, Reiki was one such gift from Life - an experience that has deeply empowered, transformed, and guided them on their journey.

For Ktien, Reiki is much more than a healing modality. It is a spiritual experience, a path of self-discovery, and a way of life.

They have been practising Reiki for nearly twenty years and sharing it with others as a teacher for the past three years. Over the years, their own journey has taken them through a range of holistic practices, each offering a different doorway into a deeper understanding of the self, energy, and the interconnectedness of all things.

They have studied and experienced Yoga, Tai Chi, Access Bars, acupressure, reflexology, and crystal healing, many of which naturally find their way into their work and practice.

Their journey eventually led them to create Aroha - a Māori word that means unconditional love. Aroha was born from an inner calling and from Ktien’s continuing curiosity about the mysterious and beautiful ways in which the universe works.

Through Aroha, they offer Reiki training at all levels, along with one-on-one sessions that include both hands-on and distance healing, wherever their journey takes them.

At the heart of Aroha is a simple intention: to serve humanity through unconditional love.

Ktien believes that beneath the identities, stories, beliefs, and differences that appear to separate us, there is an essential unity that connects us all. Their hope is that through Reiki and the touch of Aroha, each person may begin to move beyond their perceived limitations, reconnect with their own inner wisdom, and experience a deeper sense of connection - with themselves, with others, and with Life itself.
