Movement Therapy Workshop

This 1.5-hour introductory Movement Therapy session is a gentle invitation to reconnect with your body through awareness, play, free movement, and reflective journaling. Designed especially for those who are new to body-based practices, the session focuses on creating a sense of comfort and safety - without pressure, performance, or the need to “do it right.”

Through simple, intuitive movements, moments of stillness, and guided journaling prompts, participants are supported in slowing down and listening inward. The session offers a supportive space to tune into bodily sensations, reconnect with oneself, and gain a deeper understanding of personal needs and responses. Writing becomes a bridge between movement and awareness, allowing participants to reflect, integrate, and deepen their experience at their own pace.

This experience is less about technique and more about presence - allowing movement and reflection to arise organically, just as they want to. Laughter, curiosity, and childlike ease are welcome. Whether you feel disconnected from your body, carry stress or stiffness, or simply wish to explore a new way of relating to yourself, this session offers a gentle and nourishing starting point.

This session is open to anyone who feels curious about movement as a form of self-connection and expression. It is especially suitable for:

No prior movement, dance, or fitness experience is required. All bodies, abilities, and ages are welcome.

Roshini Varma is a certified movement therapy facilitator and a student of psychology, with a deep interest in the mind–body connection and embodied wellbeing.

Rooted in the understanding that the body holds memories, emotions, and lived experiences, Roshini creates safe and compassionate spaces where individuals are gently guided to reconnect with themselves through movement. Her work encourages self-expression, body awareness, emotional regulation, and healing—allowing participants to listen to and respond to what their bodies are communicating, without judgment or performance.

Through thoughtfully designed movement-based practices, she supports people in cultivating presence, resilience, and a deeper sense of self. Roshini offers movement-based wellness and life-skills sessions for a diverse demographic, working with adolescents, adults, and senior citizens. Her approach is inclusive and accessible, meeting individuals where they are and honouring each person’s unique pace and experience.
