Group Sound Bath
Immersed in Healing Frequencies

Step into a sanctuary of stillness at Nihshreyasa with our immersive Group Sound Bath in Fort Kochi. Designed to calm the mind, relax the body, and support your nervous system, a sound bath is a deeply restorative experience that invites you to simply lie down, listen, and rest.

Whether you're experiencing stress, anxiety, burnout, difficulty sleeping, mental fatigue, or simply longing for a quiet pause from the demands of everyday life, a sound bath offers a gentle and accessible way to reconnect with a sense of calm and balance.

No previous meditation experience is required. There is nothing you need to do—simply arrive, get comfortable, and allow the sounds to guide you into deep relaxation.

Can a Sound Bath Help Reduce Stress and Anxiety?

Stress is not just something we experience mentally—it is something the body experiences as well. When we're under stress, our nervous system prepares us to respond. Breathing becomes quicker, muscles tighten, the heart beats faster, and the mind often becomes filled with racing thoughts.

A sound bath offers an opportunity to interrupt this cycle.

The combination of immersive sound, intentional stillness, and focused listening encourages the body to slow down and shift towards its natural state of rest and recovery. Many participants notice that their breathing becomes softer, their muscles begin to relax, and their minds become less occupied with constant thinking. While a sound bath is not a medical treatment for anxiety or stress-related conditions, many people find it to be a valuable complementary practice that supports emotional wellbeing, relaxation, and resilience.

Can Sound Baths Improve Sleep?

Difficulty sleeping is often connected to an overactive mind and a nervous system that struggles to switch off. Because sound baths encourage deep relaxation, many participants report sleeping more peacefully after a session. Others describe feeling mentally quieter and physically lighter, making it easier to unwind at the end of the day.

A sound bath doesn't force sleep. Instead, it creates the conditions in which the body can naturally relax—something that is often the first step towards better rest.

What Happens During the Session?

Your experience begins the moment you enter the studio. You'll be invited to settle comfortably on a yoga mat. Blankets, cushions, and eye pillows are available to help you feel fully supported throughout the session. Once everyone is settled, the sound journey begins. Layer by layer, the room fills with the resonant sounds of Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, Koshi chimes, shamanic drums, bells, tuning forks, rainsticks, and other carefully selected instruments. The sounds continuously evolve, creating an immersive environment that gently draws your awareness away from the constant activity of the mind and into the present moment.

Each session is intuitively guided, making every experience unique. Some participants remain awake throughout, while others drift into a light sleep. Some experience profound stillness, while others simply enjoy an hour of uninterrupted rest.

There is no right or wrong experience. The invitation is simply to slow down and allow yourself to receive.

FAQ
What exactly happens during a Group Sound Bath session?

During a Group Sound Bath, participants lie down comfortably while the facilitator plays healing instruments like Tibetan singing bowls, chimes, and drums. These sounds create vibrational frequencies that gently wash over your body and mind, guiding you into deep relaxation, energetic balance, and meditative stillness — without any effort or active participation on your part.

What should I bring or wear to a Sound Bath session?

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes that help you relax fully while lying down. Yoga mats, eye mask are provided.

How will I feel after the session, and are there any after-effects?

Most people leave feeling deeply relaxed, mentally clear, and emotionally lighter. Some may experience emotional release or a sense of energetic cleansing. Mild fatigue or heightened sensitivity can also occur temporarily. Drinking water and resting afterward can help you integrate the benefits of the session.

Do I need meditation experience?

Not at all. Sound baths are suitable for complete beginners. There is nothing to learn or practise during the session. Simply lying down, listening, and allowing yourself to relax is enough.

How often should I attend?

Some people attend weekly as part of their wellbeing routine, while others join whenever they feel the need to rest, reset, and reconnect with themselves.
